Stratford Parents’ Place, Family Resource Center, has announced a partnership with Connecticut’s Read to Grow program to become a community-based Book Place.

Read to Grow Book Places are sites at community-based agencies throughout the state where families have easy access to free books for their children. This book distribution system will eventually replace mailings to individual families promising greater efficiency and a major increase in the number of books going to children who need them.

Stratford Parents’ Place is a family resource center located at Stratford Academy/Johnson House, 719 Birdseye Street. Following the Stratford Public School calendar, parents are welcome to visit Stratford Parents’ Place Read to Grow Book Place, Monday-Thursday, from noon-1 p.m., or Thursday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and select two books at each visit.

Additional information is on the Stratford Board of Education website: stratfordk12.org or call 203-381-6992.
