Stratford student Jesse Veilleux, in conjunction with Boy Scout Troop 75 (St. James) and our Lady of Peace Church in Stratford, organized a diaper drive this summer for the Sterling House Resource Connection Program. On Thursday, Augu. 28, Jesse and his family dropped off 1,969 diapers at Sterling House.
“This is a program we are trying to grow,” says Ray O’Donnell, program director at Sterling House. “There is a tremendous need for diapers in the Stratford community. We are very grateful for this donation.”
Sterling House expressed thanks to Jesse and the Veilleux family, Boy Scout Troop 75 and their leader Frank Duffy, and Our Lady of Peace Church for their generous donation.
The Sterling House Resource Connection Program is a comprehensive, basic needs assistance program providing food, diapers, pet food, school supplies, Thanksgiving food baskets, holiday gifts, personal care items, and information and referral to families in Stratford and the Greater Bridgeport area. The program is now the largest of its kind in Stratford.
