Sterling House offers a NAEYC accredited Preschool program for children aged 3-5. The school offers morning, full, or extended day options. Open registration is underway for the 2015-2016 school year.

The Sterling House Preschool classroom is a place where children will feel safe, wanted, encouraged, appreciated and part of a community. The classroom is set up for learning. There are 9 interest areas within the classroom: blocks, dramatic play, toys and games, art, discovery, music and movement, literature computers and sand and water. Children are given opportunities to make choices, discover ideas, experiment, and take responsibility for their work. Children will be encouraged to observe, explore, take things apart, build, create, and draw.

The goal of the Sterling House Preschool program is to have all children become self-confident in school with people and materials, to become aware and curious of their environment and to develop a love of learning that will sustain them throughout their educational experiences.

Daily activities include free play, clean-up, bathroom, snack, music and story time, as well as recreational periods to foster large muscle coordination. Children will play on our brand-new, state-of-the-art playground daily, weather permitting. A nutritional snack is provided daily.
